Rochester Spoken Word held Speak Easy No. 11 on Sunday November 12 at Cheshire cocktail bar. It was another full house, and another great event showcasing the talent of the many wonderful writers in our area. We had 11 readers reading 10 pieces, and we’re happy to report that six of those readers were first-timers on the Speak Easy stage.
Next up, we close out the year with our final Speak Easy of 2017 appropriately titled: Regrets & New Beginnings. Come on out and reflect on the past and look forward to the future as our readers share stories of past regrets and fresh starts. Whether you’re looking to drown your sorrows or toast the New Year, there’ll be holiday-themed craft cocktails available to do it right.
Want to participate? Share your New Year’s resolution with us anonymously by submitting it at RocSpoke.org/Resolution. We’ll share what we collect at our show on December 10th and via social media in the days leading up to it. Who knows? Maybe you’ll inspire someone or be inspired yourself!
