Maybe it was due to a lack of sleep after losing an hour to the start of Daylight Savings Time, or maybe it was on account of the funny material coming from our stage. Either way, there was a lot of laughter to be heard at Speak Easy this past Sunday (3/11) at Cheshire cocktail bar in the South Wedge. Ten readers took our stage, including four first-timers, and left our sell-out crowd hungry for more.
Next Up: Celebrate diversity with us on April 8th as we bring you Colorful Voices: Readings by People of Color, LGBTQ Members, and Other Under-Represented Writers. This open topic event will be a great way to celebrate the beginning of spring. We hope you’ll come out and join us that day for great cocktails and great writing. Tickets are available here.
