Nothing Spooky About October Speak Easy
Stepping away from a Halloween theme this year, our October 14th open-topic Speak Easy brought smiles and laughter to the large crowd in attendance. This month we only had eight readers, including two first-timers, but what we lacked in quantity, we made up for in quality. There was powerful poetry, a funny memoir of a vacation that was not as advertised, and many other excellent pieces that made for an enjoyable literary afternoon. The Q&A session brought out many questions from the audience and has become one of the highlights of Speak Easy.

Next Up: Autumn will be in full swing when we gather on November 11 for our next Speak Easy. It’ll be another open-topic show. Take a break from raking leaves, and check it out! Tickets are available here.
