Speak Easy Ends 2018 on a High Note
On Sunday December 9 we held our 24th Speak Easy and final event for 2018 at Cheshire. It was another great mix of poetry and prose presented by our eight readers, four of which were first timers on our stage. In a slight change from our normal format, one of our readers, Stacey Freed, read a 20+ minute piece spread out before and after the break. We’re always interested in trying new things, especially if we can help our writers get feedback on a piece they’re working on, which was the case with Stacey. Check out the pictures from the day below.
Next Up: It’s one of our favorite events of the year! The Speak Easy Birthday Party! Come help us celebrate the start of our 3rd year with some of our favorite readers from 2018. We’ve invited Nadia Ghent, Robert Shelton, Kevin Watt, David Holloway, Dominique Spikes, Erin Julian, Christine Green, Marvelous Marvin, George Steele, and Alex Sanchez back to our stage. It’s going to be a great show complete with party hats, prizes and cake. Get your tickets before they sell out!
